Giveaway Prize and Pictures from the Week

Awhile back I entered a giveaway contest over at It's all in the Ryting. The contest was a "Cutest Kid Picture" contest. And my picture won!

The picture I submitted of my nephew Joey from my wedding.

Now, as I have been having issues with my mail lately, my prize had to be remade and sent a second time because I never got the first one :(  I told her not to worry about it, but she sent a second one anyway, so sweet!

A very cute handmade card and envie with a little note!

A little handmade book of highlights from her recent wedding, so creative, and I enjoyed hearing about her special day and seeing pictures!

And my prize, a little wooden person! I asked her to make it look like the picture of Joey, and she sure did, right down to the freckles and the wink! I love, love, love it!!

So, Joey #2 made it safe and sound and now has a temporary home on my desk! Thank you again Ryan! I love him! :)

My parents have been beach camping all week, they left on Sunday and will be home tomorrow! On Tuesday afternoon the hubby and I went down to visit and have dinner with them and also some cousins on my mom's side are camping too.

My parents have a trailer that is called a "toy hauler". So the whole back of the trailer opens as a ramp so you can load bikes and off road vehicles and such. Anyway, they had a spot right against the sand, so it was a nice view with the back of the trailer open :)
It was overcast, but I was still able to see part of the sunset, I think the clouds made it that much more pretty. (This was a cell phone pic).

Another sunset pic, I took a ton of them. This one was with my regular digital camera, I was amazed that my cell phone was taking better pictures than my camera, yeah, definitely time for a new camera!

Enjoyed the bonfire after dinner for a little while until we had to hurry up and leave (otherwise we would have been locked in at 8pm, lol).

Bowling started last week! I can't remember if I mentioned it or not. Well, I didn't have a good week last week. I was struggling and getting frustrated. . . but for some reason in the first game last night I was doing really well!

My hubby usually has about a 200 average per game. The first game last night he was bowling really badly! So what was the result of this? I beat my husband's score for the first time ever. I beat him by 19 pins. Of course this was scratch without any handicap added in.

So, just because I knew no one would believe me, I took a picture of the score sheet to prove that yes, me, starting the season with a 97 average, beat my hubby who started the season with an almost 200 average.

The proof!! LOL
So, maybe this won't be such a bad season after all. . .

Well, that's all for now. Hope everyone has had a wonderful week!

  1. Beth,
I'm so glad he made it safe! :) I wonder if those tracking numbers make the USPS be a little more careful? Also, congratulations on your bowling score! I've never Bern good, myself, but it is a lot of fun! :)

    1. I was wondering the same thing! Maybe that was the secret :) But yes, he made it safe, thank you so much again! Yeah, I'm still learning with the bowling, but we're just there to have fun! And our league we're in is the best for having fun, everyone is so great and so supportive of new bowlers. Last season was really rough for me, I struggled a lot, I have a feeling that this season is going to be better now that I know what I need to do to pick up spares and stuff :)
